Lodging – The Black Hills, Our Custer Location
Wilderness Sabbaticals are available at our remote cabins in the Black Hills. Far enough into the wilderness to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday struggles. But close enough to find time to explore the scenic and historic Black Hills.
The Blessing Cabin is our first cabin. It is a Log Cabin with that rustic feel, while being fully equipped. It features a kitchen, living room with a hide-a-bed, modern bathroom/shower, bedroom with Queen size bed, and a sleeping loft for two.
The Miracle Cabin is our newest addition, with a few more amenities. This has a more modern look, while retaining the western feeling. The great room provides a kitchen/living room with a gas heating stove. The large bathroom, includes a walk-in shower, and stack washer/dryer, bedroom with a queen size bed, large loft with two twin sized beds (a trundle bed) and room for more on air-mattresses. The loft also provides an overstuffed chair with ottoman for relaxing and reading, and a table for games, puzzles, or however you choose to use it.
Camper Pads. Due to the generosity of family members, we are able to provide two full hook-up covered camper pads (covered as it hails a lot out here). One is near the Miracle Cabin, while the other is located across a meadow in trees at the back of 30 acres, which gives an incredible sense of being completely alone in the woods.
It doesn’t matter if you are at the cabin the whole time, or if you are out hiking or camping, the beauty found in this area is perfect for spiritual reflection while experiencing what God has given us.
